Top 4 Best 1/2 HP Motor Sanders

What Real People Are Saying About The Shop Fox W1855

Excellent construction

Awesome quality. I like the quality and sturdy construction

Great value for a versatile belt sander

After much research I decided to purchase the Fox belt /disc sander. I wanted to avoid the harbor freight type tools and wanted something that I considered mid range. I had previously purchased a shop bench grinder and it has been a go to tool in our shop for years without failure.

The pros of the sander include its heavy weight build and easy on off switch. Its belt sander has an excellent platform and sands evenly across all surfaces. It seems well built and is exactly what we wanted for light to medium use on soft grain wood like pine and fir. The only drawback I noted was if you place heavy material on it and push down hard in an effort to remove more material you can stall the sanding belt. It was easy to see this when my 14 year old was using it and I quickly showed him how to avoid putting so much weight on the belt. Overall I would say this is a great value for the money and it seems well built enough to last for many years of daily service in our shop

Worth the price.

Nice tool. Solidly built. If round sander had Velcro attachment instead of glue pad that would be an improvement but it works great.

great job

Works perfectly. Does a great job.

Good deal

Great product,top shelf.
