5 amp battery died and a new replacement 2. The chain itself was beginning to wear a bit. Ordered this saw and arrived within a few days. I think it too was broken or the chain was dull. I press the button, pull the trigger and it goes.

The pole is long, and can be heavy to maneuver. The chain itself was beginning to wear a bit. Used on a tree that fell in my yard. I end up oiling the chain manually. Time to sharpen it or buy a new chain.
