"Its smooth pretty quiet."I'm a DIYer so this is exactly what I needed. Female who is stripping and painting a large 136 yr. It is very helpful and I have to say it is good deal. When I returned, the sander had gone to tool heaven. I did make some low spots on the table with that sander.
