First Impressions

"Ran smoothly."

This tiny little thing burn them all flawlessly. I was using these, and the 1/8th rods, in a 240 welder. Everything says the magnetic strength is 150lbs, I think we can all agree on that. I don't know what else to say. I use a short cord into it, and don't over push it, and it does well.

"Ignore the rating."

This thing can't weigh more than 10 lbs and its super portable. Looks to be a high quality rod, though I'm a farmer, not a welder. Use them all over in my workshop. It is sturdy, heavy duty and just right for a DYI garage guy. As a hobby welder, this was perfect for me.
