Spare belts are commonly available and easy to change. But at the end of the day I'd take a good look at the Skil. I was extremely surprised at the high quality of this purchase. I used and abused that sander and it never disappointed. The sander worked flawlessly going through a lot of material.
This sander cranked on like smooth and worked wonderful. It's sturdily built, easy to handle and light weight. I did receive some damage to the product during shipping. You can attach to the vacuum if you have a big job to do. I Recently bought a property and needed a great sander.
