First Impressions

"VICTOR ARCAIR a bit pricier."

I'm a gunsmith and this welder was made for me. A powerful Arc Welder that gets the job done even at 120v. It is very light weight and portable. I'm running on a 15 amp circuit with 50 ft extension cord and have had no problems. Use 7014 rod for the best results and keep the current down.

"Can't beat the price."

Liked the compact size of it. I felt at home with the controls, they are almost identical to the 255EXT. As a hobby welder, this was perfect for me. 13 foot Ground, 13 foot Stinger (electrode holder), it's own carrying bag. The VICTOR ARCAIR weighs around 75lbs and doesn't lay down any better of a weld.
