"Rods were as expected."You can try, and I've been successful, but it is very difficult. This thing can't weigh more than 10 lbs and its super portable. A decent hold but not enough for intended use. Bottom line if you are in the market for a arc welder, buy it! I'm running an VICTOR ARCAIR 160 on about 45 amps and these rods run great.
