First Impressions

"I decided to get this one for myself."

It is tackled some of the toughest jobs with these. It makes mountains of wood shavings on the smallest projects! I have mostly PORTER-CABLE tools and none of them have failed. Overall the feel of the tool was pretty good. A little heavier than the PORTER-CABLE I used to use.

"Only disadvantage is it is heavy."

I got the planer and put it to work right away. I use it outside as there is a huge outflow of chips. I used it to clean up salvaged/reclaimed wood. The left/right chip ejector is much better than PORTER-CABLE's. It is sturdy and the blade are double sided and sharp.
